Although it was only a small draw of 14 teams and the weather forced the tournament to be delayed until 1pm, Pat Kelly and Nathan LeFevre survived a long day and came out victorious with their win over Drew Broderick and Guy Moore in a nail biting final. The 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 score shows how close and exciting the match was.

All top 4 seeds all made semis. The first semifinal featured #2 seed Kelly-LeFevre versus #3 seed Mike Atkinson and John Milbank. Nathan and Pat prevailed with an easy 6-1 6-3 win. Before reaching the final, #1 seed Broderick-Moore beat #4 seed and defending champs Chris Ucko and Mike Stulac 5-7 6-1 7-5 to secure a spot in the final and fight for the crown.

This is Pat Kelly’s second big win of the season. A few weeks ago he joined forces with Drew Broderick and won the 128-draw New Jersey League Classic.
