Drew Broderick and Chris Gambino have only lost two matches since they started playing together last December at the Hinsdale Men’s Challenge. That is pretty impressive. What is also impressive is their performance at the 2011 Premier Cup played in Columbus, Ohio last weekend. They only lost 15 games in four matches and took home the tittle without dropping a set.

In the final match of the weekend Drew and Chris defeated one of the best teams in the country. Drew Eberly and Peter Berka. Although the score showed a 6-2, 6-2 victory, the match was a close fight between the top two seeded teams.

Besides Broderick-Gambino and Berka-Eberly the Premier Cup featured the following teams:

  • Denny English and Brian Heil
  • Steve DeRose and Jon Lubow
  • Mike Marino and Dane Schmigdall
  • Rob Bakker and Thaddeus Reed
  • Mark Johnson and Matthew Warner
  • Dan Mott and Andy Todd
