The first NRT of the season is back and better than ever! Ran as a Men’s B draw for 12 years, in 2011 the tournament added a Men’s PCQ/NRT and has become a staple on the APTA schedule. In 2012 a Women’s PCQ/NRT was added with equal success and now all players come back for what is considered by many as the most fun tournament of the season!

Entry

  • The entry fee for the tournament is $200/team.
  • All players must be current APTA members or pay a $20 Limited Membership Fee, good for one tournament. Join the APTA. If you decide to pay the $20 fee please bring your check payable to “American Platform Tennis Association” the day of the event.

Time & Place

All matches will be played at the Patterson Club and other club facilities in the Fairfield/New Canaan/Wilton/Weston area. Matches will begin on Saturday at 8:00 am. Three matches will be played in the morning before lunch. This is a ONE DAY tournament.

Format

  • The Men’s NRT Draw will be limited to 24 teams. Last three years we had a waiting list. Teams will secure a spot based on National Ranking and early signups, in that order. Quarter final reprieve is MANDATORY.
  • The Women’s NRT Draw will be limited to 24 teams. Teams will secure a spot based on National Ranking and early signups, in that order. Quarter final reprieve is MANDATORY.
  • The Men’s B Draw will be limited to 32 teams. There is always a waiting list so teams should signup as soon as possible if you want to secure your spot in the draw.
  • All Consolation matches MUST be played. A 10-point tiebreaker will be used throughout the back draws in lieu of the third set.

Extras

The Saturday afternoon party will go well into the evening. Courtside and roadside at the Patterson Club. Last year more than 200 fans/players gathered to party up!
