In less than two weeks The Toronto Open will kick-off their 2011 edition at the Kingsway Platform Tennis Club. The tourney, unofficially referred to as The ‘Advil’ Open Weekend, will once more feature a Men’s Open, a Women’s Open, and Men’s B draws. Scheduled for November 19-20, but depending on the number of entries, the finals could be played on Saturday evening.
Last year’s champions had a common denominator: the Odenbach last name. Rochester’s own Fritz Odenbach won the men’s open while his daughter Mandy Odenbach won the Women’s Open. Frtiz teamed-up with Huy Nguyen while Mandy played with Rita Kladstrup.
