Apparently Nike has once again fueled a sports controversy and this time affects the local paddle community. They have just released their latest paddle line which contains a shirt that almost identically matches the color of a clean Viking Paddle Ball.
When we interviewed the player in the picture his exact quote was “I don’t give a sh*t, there is nothing in the rule book that says that I cannot wear this garment… You can fine me if you want; I am not taking it off!!” When we asked other MAPTA players across the area, many stated that it just provides me with a better target when I need someone to pick off.
The MAPTA Weather Advisory and Rules Committee is currently looking for public comment and will rule on this shirt shortly.
