Paddle_Times_Web_LogoThe newly formed divisions started to take shape after winter’s week 2 matches. As usual, all stats can be found HERE.

Division 1
Greenburgh 1 sits alone atop division 1 with 8 points in the second half, after a 5-0 sweep over Bronxville Village 1. Despite GB1 missing a lot of their top guns, they still managed the sweep, with the help of one default. Manursing Island Club 1 and New York Athletic Club 1 are tied for second place with 6 points each. MIC1 beat Country Club of Westchester by a score of 4-1, with their only loss coming at the 3 spot. NYAC 1 surprisingly lost to Flint Park 1 by a score of 2-3. That leaves FP 1 tied with newcomer Bronxville Village 2 in third place with 5 points each. BV2 scored a 3-2 victory over Orienta Beach Club 1 in the final match of division 1.

Division 2
Siwanoy Country Club 1 has come out of the gates in the second half on fire with a 9-1 record two weeks in. They followed their first match sweep with a 4-1 victory over Sleepy Hollow Village. Tied for second place, are Bronxville Village 3 and Shenorock, who face off in this week’s action. BV3 beat Fox Meadow 1, 3-2, while Shenorock scored a 4-1 victory over Scarsdale Village 1. The final match in division 2 saw Larchmont Yacht Club 1 beat Scarsdale Golf club 1 by a score of 4-1.

Division 3
Division 3 has a number of teams tied for first place, each with 7 points. Despite losing 2-3 to Pelham Country Club 1, NYAC2 is one of the teams tied for first place after two weeks, as is PCC1. Also with 7 points, is Wykagyl Country Club 1, after a 3-2 victory over Larchmont Yacht Club 2. The final first place team, Century Country Club, beat Larchmont Shore Club 4-1. Lastly, Manursing Island Club 2 beat Greenburgh 2 by a score of 4-1, which leaves MIC2 in the hunt, only one point behind the leaders with 6 points.

Division 4
White Plains beat Pelham Country Club 2, 3-2, while Ardsley Country Club 1 lost to Orienta Beach Club 2 by a score of 2-3. These were the only scores recorded in division 4, so the d4 picture is incomplete at this point.
Many league participants will be making the trip north this weekend to Boston for the Boston National Open. This is a loaded tournament and it will be interesting to see how the WPTL players stand up against national competition.
