The Callaway Cup gets played every year, where else but at the WeeBurn Country Club. Why? Because it is the second home of Bob Callaway, in whose honor WeeBurn created the event. Played yesterday under a constant and persistent mist/rain the Cup stayed home.
WeeBurn’s own Katie Adams and partner Carrie Rabuse took the women’s title while another WeeBurn CC member Boie Bogardus and partner Jimmy Brown took the men’s title. Adams-Rabuse defeated Jennifer Demsey and Danielle Lenois 6-2, 6-3 while Bogardus-Brown defeated Michael Gallagher and Pete Oman 6-0, 4-6, 6-1.
