The Kansas City Open has been going for over 2 decades but this year is the first time it has been upgraded to a NRT/PCQ.
Kansas City Platform has been growing exponentially over the past 3-4 years and with the help of the APTA two more courts were installed a year and a half ago. The player base has many talented Division 1 tennis stars but they are land locked when it comes to playing outside tournaments. This year’s KC Open will be a great opportunity for teams wanting to gain more NRT points and enjoy KC hospitality.
Right now one ranked team is planning to come and a few more teams are interested. Word on the street says that the tournament may be visited by two players that have been ranked #1 in the country.
