For Immediate Press release:

Community Centers, Inc. receives in kind donation.

The American Platform Tennis Association (APTA) hosted their Mixed Nationals and Husbands and Wife Nationals Tournaments in March. The APTA event was held at Greenwich Country Club, with 48 teams in their husbands and wife event and at capacity with 64 teams in their mixed event.

Part of APTA’s commitment is to give back to the community. Community Centers, Inc. of Greenwich, a social services agency serving the Greenwich community for almost 60 years was the recipient of APTA’s generosity.

CCI programs help children needing critical after school tutoring and support, adolescents developing their computer and life skills, seniors residents dealing with shrinking resources and increased needs, counseling to families in times of crisis and therapeutic programs for those with special needs.

Patricio Misitrano, tournament director, and event supporter Joe and Mary Pat Cabrera presented CCI with a $5,500 gift to support its programs.

We are so excited to receive this honor. It is wonderful that associations such as the APTA reach out and recognize organizations such as ours. Every donations allows to continue to provide and strengthen our services to the community,” said Pamela Griffin, acting executive director.
